Disney: This was our 4th pilgrimage to the SUNSHINE state of Florida. Usually a sweatshirt or light jacket is necessary in the mornings, but not this year. O No. This year we froze. A cold front blew in the day we arrived and it was a chilly 30-40 degrees with a lovely BREEZE. It was all about the layers.
It was a year of first: I had no children in a sling, and for the MOST part there was no POTTY accidents.
Dan and I did learn the hard way to READ THE LABEL when purchasing your child candy. If you are going to allow your son to consume a large bag of Goofy Gummy Bears, make sure they are not SUGAR FREE. Sugar free candy if consumed in large quantity will cause your child to spend a half hour on the potty.
We had dinner at the House of Blues and Tony Romos. Walked Downtown Disney, some went to the beach, some did Magic Kingdom twice. Overall the chill in the air was a pain, but when your on vacation it''s hard to get worked up over anything.
For the record: Aiden did NOT sleep on the plane ride down. I had downloaded the sound track to Wizard of Oz, so he stole my Ipod and listened to the WICKED WITCH is dead and ate candy for most of the ride.
Aiden told Cinderella that he was a knight and he would shoot the dragon in the eye for her. (isn''t that nice). He told a nice lady that our plane was shot at by a helicopter during "blast off" and he needed a shooter so he could shoot back.
We got home in time to spend the entire day before Thanksgiving baking and preparing, then we FEASTED. Then got up at 3:00 to do our Black Friday shopping. It''s tradition.
Getting back in the groove was rough, Aiden didn''t really want to go back to school, Emily missed all her teachers and present her homework journal, Coley was excited to get back to cheer leading.
Sadie is getting huge and she grew big black spots on her neck. She loves the snow. Since it''s almost time for my December Update, I''ll end it here.
