Monthly recaps are slacking too..
April and May 2009
Emily has lost all her front teeth. It makes me SO sad. She''s just a baby and an almost 6 year old shouldn''t have lost 8 teeth already.
IT MAKES ME SAD. Did you all hear that?
Her Heart Dr. checkup went well, she has added a heart murmur to her list, but it''s no big deal. I leave his office full of confidence, ready to take on anyone who second guesses my decision to keep her off medication . I defend myself daily.
Also I encourage all of our friends and family to look up both WPW (the condition Emily has,) and SVT, (which is the condition it creates.) It benefits everyone.
Here''s a nice kick in the pants: EMILY CAN READ.
My little geek has been pouring over books and writing letters forever. But she like REALLY reads now. Good time to take to the store: "Look it says MILK over there. "Look it says SHOES. This will continue till blood pours from your ears. I just love her.
Nicole: Dude. Enough with the Grouchy.
If you were not blessed with such a patient mother, you would spend a lot of time mowing the front lawn.
Baseball season is over and Nicole comes home after school! YEAH for ME. She helps out with her brother and sister so MY work can be done. She has picked out her HIGH SCHOOL classes and will begin a 2 week session in July to get used to HIGH SCHOOL.
We went to the ortho and he has proclaimed her wrist is totally healed. Backhandsprings have been tried out gently on the trampoline with much success.
Nicole has a heart condition. Her heart throws out extra beats 5 out of 10 times. When she''s active like running, it goes away. Also one of her heart valves has a leak. This all falls under the "keeping an eye on it" category. The not to worry, but come see me every 6 months thing.
O that boy. He is just so funny. Throws out his MAN VOICE and yanks his tool belt on at the first sign of trouble. Then does what every man does, rests his hands high on his hips, stares at the "job", declares it "broken" and assures every one in earshot that he will in fact be the person to "fix it".
Repeat this scene EVERYWHERE. He''s not shy.
He hates to have his blood pressure taken. The nurse hates that he is scared, so she yells at him, to calm down it doesn''t hurt. So I yell at her to PLEASE DON''T YELL. We should sell tickets to his next physical. I swear I''m being punked.
Dan and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on June 1st. It''s really our 12th year together. GAWD.. We are just babies. With all our teeth.
